CSA Frequently Asked Questions

When is the first CSA pickup?

The first pickup date for whole season members is different every year depending on crop availability, usually mid to late June.

5 and 10 week members can start picking up starting July 12th and can choose any 5 or 10 weeks for pickups until October 14th.

Do I have to choose either Tuesday or Friday?

Yes, we do ask that you choose one day through the season that works for your schedule. This helps us estimate how much produce to have ready for the pickup days. If you find that your schedule changes, you are welcome to switch days but contact us to let us know.

Can anyone pick up my share?

Yes, you can send a friend or relative to come pick up your share. Just have them check off your name on our sign in sheet.

Why did I see produce at the Farmers' Market that was not included in my CSA pickup?

The CSA is our top priority but sometimes we may not have enough of a certain crop in a given week to harvest for all of our members. We also try new experimental crops on a small scale with the intention of introducing them to the CSA the following year.

Can I pick up twice in one week to make up for a missed pickup?

The farm feeds a large number of families and we base our harvesting amounts on the expected pickups each day so we cannot have members picking up twice in one week.

Can I buy extra produce?

Yes. Extra produce can be bought either by asking the farmstand staff or contact us at the number below to arrange payment and pickup.

What if I am unable to pick my own share items?

If you are physically unable to gather the U-Pick items in the share, call us at the number below to have them picked and ready for you on your pickup day.
